So the latest spin on the Mary Polak war on providing Autism Funding is that the dismantling of the Direct Funding is to save the parents from paying the HST.
Have you ever heard such nonsense? Everyone knows that the Direct (government) directed funding takes months longer, is inefficient and will result in costing all taxpayers much more and providing the children less therapy.
What is equally disturbing is this person who goes by the name "Josef" who seems to be Mary's online spin doctor. Notice on all her blogs, facebook page and other Internet sites where almost everyone is shooting her down this person named "Josef" calls her a hero and makes these crazy justifications that no one agrees with.
Ever wonder who "Josef" is? Well.... Wait for it... He is....
AN AMERICAN! His real name is Josef A Kunzler.
Not that I have anything bad to say about Americans but honestly what is he doing promoting Mary Polak's position and beating down parents on these online blogs?

The next time he tells you he is an expert on Autism and Autism funding in Canada, ask him if he is a parent. Ask him if he is a resident of Canada. Of BC? Well to give him credit, he can spell Autism.

As you have found, I do run a small business and it's invoice based and those invoices are very quick by secretaries & business office staff - they just sign off & make sure a few basics are done on a schedule. There should be no problems, I speak from experience.
Yankee here does have contacts w/ the BCLibs, tend to see their view of the world. They probably right now are going to not be too happy I've became the issue instead of helping all 870 autistics.
I am NOT an expert on autism, never claimed to be. Nor did I claim to be Canadian at any time. I just put my POVs forth.

You seem to be making some sort of strange link between an invoice system of a small business and that of the Autism Funding mechanism that Mary Polak wants to dictate. Well sorry to inform you but this is dramatically different. Have you dealt with government before? Are you a parent who has used that system before? No? Ah I understand now why you are confused...
Let me understand you better and please do correct me if I am wrong. A) You are not an expert in Autism. In fact, you don't seem to know much at all about Autism.

How does this give you any right to influence how children in this province receive therapy?

You are are an American who is messing with Canadian parents and their innocent children because you have some sort of special relationship/arrangement/interest (be that professional or personal) with Mary Polak.
Just answer me this one question: If you are not in love with her (which is totally cool if you are) then what is with this intense infatuation? I mean you are all over her Facebook page, you make positive comments on every blog and video about Polak and you participate in radio interviews about her acting as a concerned Aspergers guy. All of this trickery is for what?
I have to guess your time has some value so what is in it for you? Does she return your calls?
Just a fan, Bob, who likes it positively loud people I work with. Mary & I worked to stop the BCNDP from getting in last May, so I feel I owe her one politically and to pass on my support. We've never met face-to-face.
Hopefully by answering your question we can turn down the diatribe. It's not helping your kids or anybody elses to fixate on a political buff. BUT, just so you know... I lobbied Bill Good of CKNW yesterday into doing a segment about this situation next week as well. That'll be much harder to do w/ this blog post of yours.
That said, I think most are not asking the right question: How do we raise treatment hours for ALL 850 kids equally?
One last thing - I never lobbied for this decision. I lobbied for Mary to get into cabinet, so I am culpable to some extent. But I would have said we need to look at the best science for all 870 kids and do so in a way that's a conversation, not a traumatic decision.
I'm not trying to hurt anybody. Plz respect that.
You have my curiosity. What sort of a fan does all this work and constantly watches blog posts for a lady who lives in a different country? Come on, there has to be more to this story than just that. How did you first become interested in her?
I heard you on the Bill Good show. I can't say I am ever impressed with any of your posts or comments. You seem to miss the mark but this is not surprising as you are not a parent or even involved in this community.
Oh ya... you are an American who doesn't get impacted by the consequences of your actions on our radio stations or web sites. I almost forgot.
Nothing Mary has done here has made things better. Even the 2K extra is not going to help us since she is going to Direct.
